METAPHORS 2019
The METAPHORS collection consists of ten models including rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. The set of jewels refers to a primordial alphabet made of universal geometries. Eggs, drops, ellipses draw fluid and dialoguing spaces through pearl joints and games of balance between full and empty spaces. The shapes are inspired by the sculpture of the first half of the 20th century by Brancusi, Arp, Moore and Hepworth. However, each object, while referring to the style of these sculptors, detaches itself from it, expressing its own personal vision. Made of 24-carat gold plated bronze and silver, the jewels are characterized by smooth, polished surfaces and large volumes emptied inside, giving a tactile and anatomical sensation to the observer and wearer.
OUROBOROS 2018
Ouroboros is the image of a snake eating its own tail. It is a very ancient symbology that represents the totality of the whole, the infinite and rebirth. The collection revolves around this idea of circularity and concentric perfection, as well as the choice of stones, mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli, malachite and onyx, placed from time to time in contrast with the different colors of the metal. Apparently motionless but in eternal movement, uroboron returns the universal energy that is consumed and constantly renewed.
ENCHANTED 2017
The jewels, inspired by the theme of the snake, investigate its different aspects, both formal and conceptual: from the look, to the skin, to the coils, to its elegant and sinuous movements. The collection is divided into microgroups of ornaments that interpret its different symbols and characteristics. The eyes are represented by ovals, with slits and knurled surfaces that enchant the observer. The leather is sculpted like a scaly texture, composed of scales and ridges, which envelops and protects. The coils are reshaped into sculptural bodies that wrap and crawl, reminiscent of a perception of sensuality. Small serpents, finally, play between the fingers and the ears, crossing them, in order to create optical effects, trompe l'oeil
Materials | Techniques: bronze gold plated, silver, rhodium plated, goldsmithing, lost wax technique.
