Passaggi di Stato is a collection of 5 vessels in borosilicate glass and resins.
The concept of the work was to use the resin for its hardening and structural properties, in opposition to its common use as a superficial and thin coating. The resin is adopted in this sense as a liquid substance having weight and thickness for the construction of a set of cylindrical vessels that are structured one inside the other. Passaggi di Stato is a system of vases that investigates the possibilities of manipulation of the resin through a multi-layered optical game, between full and empty spaces, in a formal balance between metaphysical abstraction and alchemical nature.
Materials | Techniques: borosilicate glass, resins by Gobbetto, water, pigments, hand crafted.
